It is often amazing what sticks in your memory but when it comes to Mrs. Pickering (I was a kid so I didn't know her as Jackie) it has to be the kitchen at the house on Homewood and her presence there. It seemed that whenever I was visiting Bruce, we would always be in or going through the kitchen. It seemed like that was where the parents hung out. I always felt very comfortable in both Jackie and Quentin's presence and I attribute it to their authenticity and kind nature. Both of them really touched me and influenced me in ways they will never know. Great people, great parents - great family!!!
